Administrators may remove signatures in any phase of the Performance Management cycle for SES plans. Plans must be in an Active status. When a signature is removed from the planning or progress review phase, all signatures will be removed for that specific phase. All parties will need to re-sign the plan for the phase in which signatures are removed.
If a plan requires changes in a specific phase and the plan is in a Completed status, administrators must remove signatures in the Rating phase to move the plan to an active status. Signature removal actions in the Planning and/or Monitoring phases can take place only when the plan is in an active status.
PRB signatures and/or the appointing authority signature can be removed as necessary without removing previous rating phase signatures applied during the rating phase.
Remove Signatures in Planning
- Open the performance plan.
- Navigate to Part 1: Consultation.
If signatures have been applied at other phases within the plan, it is advisable for the rating official or the executive to remove signatures at the planning phase to retain other signatures at the various other phases. Administrators can remove all signatures from all phases of the plan by clicking Remove Signatures on the top right of the plan-by-plan status.
You will be asked to confirm your action to remove the signature of the Rating Official and Executive from the Consultation section. Click Yes or No to confirm the action.
Remove Signatures for Progress Review
- Open the performance plan.
- Navigate to Part 2: Progress Review to remove signatures for SES plans. Rating phase signatures must be removed first if a plan is in a Completed status.
Click Remove Signatures.
You will be asked to confirm your action to remove signatures. Click Yes or No.
Remove Signatures for Rating Phase
To remove signatures at the Rating phase the plan must be in Active or Completed status.
- Open the performance plan.
- Navigate to Part 3: Summary Rating for SES plans.
Click Remove Signatures.
You will be asked to confirm your action to remove the signatures from the Rating section. Click Yes or No.
Remove PRB Chair Member’s and Appointing Authority's Signature
To remove the PRB Chair Member’s signature, and Appointing Authority’s signature if applied, at the Rating phase the plan must be in Active or Completed status.
- Open the performance plan.
- Navigate to Part 3: Summary Rating for SES plans.
From the Performance Review Board Recommendation section, click Remove Signature.
You will be asked to confirm your action to remove the PRB signature and the Appointing Authority signature if applied. Click Yes, Remove Signature or No, Cancel to confirm the action.
