Prerequisites Required For eOPF Transmission
To transmit performance appraisals from USA Performance to eOPF, the following requirements must be satisfied:
- The performance appraisals are linked to an employee profile that contains a valid SSN number. Please note that while SSN is optional within USA Performance, eOPF requires the SSN value for record-matching.
- The performance appraisals must be in either Completed or Unrateable status. This requirement ensures performance appraisals cannot be erroneously transmitted to eOPF prematurely.
- The specific performance appraisal must be marked as eligible for eOPF.
Identifying Individual Plans For eOPF Transmission
Based on the Plan Purpose selection, plans default to Eligible for eOPF. An administrator may identify a plan as not eligible for eOPF transmission at any point during the evaluation period. Based on the eOPF Eligibility Adjudication settings, a rating official and/or reviewing official with access to the plan may also identify a plan as not eligible for eOPF transmission.
To verify a user's eligibility for the electronic Official Personnel Folder (eOPF), go to the user's plan in the USA Performance. Navigate to Part 1 and review the Eligible for eOPF checkbox. If it's checked, the user is authorized to access the eOPF.
Click Eligible for eOPF to uncheck the box making it no longer eligible for eOPF transmission.
Next, review the Plan Status and ensure that the status is in Closed and/or UnRateable from the drop-down menu.
Click Save. You will receive a confirmation message.
