The Permissions tab is found under Manage Organizations in System Configurations. It lets organization admins assign admin and performance appraisal certification roles for their organization and all subordinates. Additional permissions given to specific organizations apply only to those admins. Since permissions are organization-based, a user may have different admin rights across organizations.
This page lets you assign, customize, or revoke admin permissions for an organization. Permissions apply to the selected organization and all its child (subordinate) organizations, ensuring consistent admin control.
From the Admin page, select Manage Organizations. Locate the appropriate organization and click Edit. Then, select the Permissions tab. Select the appropriate checkbox to assign the permission and click Save Permissions.
Below are the fields and descriptions for the Permissions tab shown in the screenshot:
Check/Uncheck All Available Permissions: A master checkbox to select or deselect all permissions at once, ideal for bulk assigning or removing permissions for organization administrators.
General Permissions
Basic Functionality: Grants core admin capabilities: create/manage users, run reports, assign user officials, assign rating cycle groups, manage templates, and assign rating/reviewing officials for this organization and all subordinate organizations. Automatically enabled for all administrators.
Performance Appraisals: Allows administrators to create, view, and edit performance appraisals for this organization and all subordinate organizations.
User Imports: Enables admins to import user records in bulk (e.g., new hires or updates) for this and child organizations.
Rating Cycle Groups: Allows creation and management of rating cycle groups associated with this organization and subordinate organizations.
Admin Permissions: Allows admins to assign admin roles, assign performance appraisal certification roles, and manage admin permissions for this and subordinate organizations.
Organizational Structure: Grants permission to modify the organization’s structure, including creating, editing, and rearranging organizations and subordinate units.
Mass Email Notifications: Enables administrators to send mass email notifications to users within this organization and all subordinate organizations.
Non-SES Permissions
Non-SES Templates: Allows creation and editing of Non-SES performance plan templates for this organization and its subordinate organizations.
Performance Element Library: Permits administrators to create and manage performance elements and standards used in plan templates.
Strategic Goal Library: Grants ability to create and manage strategic goals used in performance planning for this organization and subordinate units.
Non-SES eOPF: Allows submission of Non-SES performance appraisals to the electronic Official Personnel Folder (eOPF) for this organization and subordinate organizations.
