The Manage Performance Element Library lets administrators organize and oversee a collection of performance elements for their organization and sub-organizations. This helps maintain consistent performance management across all levels. To use it, go to the Admin page and select Manage Performance Element Library under Other Performance Configuration. Here, administrators can add, edit, or delete performance elements to keep metrics aligned with organizational goals.
When the tab opens, here are the fields and descriptions for the Manage Performance Element Library:
Filters & Display Options
Show Options
Elements I can edit – Displays only the performance elements the user has permission to modify.
Elements I can add to templates – Shows elements available for adding to performance plan templates.
Elements I can view – Shows all elements the user has view-only access to.
Pay Plan (Dropdown): Filters elements by associated pay plan (e.g., GS, SES, SL/ST).
Series (Dropdown): Filters by occupational series tied to an element, if applicable.
Grade (Dropdown): Filters by grade level associated with an element, if applicable.
Filter (Button): Applies all selected filters to the element list.
Clear Filters (Button): Resets all filter selections to default.
Display Inactive Performance Elements (Checkbox): When checked, includes deactivated or retired performance elements in the table.
Search (Field + Button): Allows keyword searching by element name, search name, or organization.
Reset (Button): Clears the search field and restores the default list.
Create Performance Element (Button): Opens the form for creating a new performance element.
Performance Elements Table Columns
Element Name: The official name of the performance element; clicking it opens the element for editing or viewing.
Search Name: A short or alternative name used for search optimization within USA Performance.
Organization: Indicates which organization owns or manages the element in the library.
Pay Plan–Series–Grade: Shows which pay plans, occupational series, and grade levels this element applies to (often “N/A”).
Created By: Displays which admin or system user originally created the element.
Last Updated By: Shows the user who most recently edited the performance element.
Last Updated: Timestamp for the latest update to the element.
Status: Indicates whether the element is Active or Inactive.
Table Controls
Display Records (Dropdown): Controls how many performance elements appear per page (e.g., 10, 25, 50).
Pagination Controls (First, Previous, Page Numbers, Next, Last): Navigates through multiple pages of performance elements.
