- Once the import file is complete and saved in the correct file type, return to the Data Import page.

Select the Import Type from the drop-down menu associated to the corresponding import file.

Select File will appear on your screen. Click the Browse button to open the file selection dialog and choose the file you want to upload or use.
- Locate and click on your file, then click Open.

Once the file name appears in the blue box, click the + file name in the blue box.

Click Yes, Import to confirm the action to import records.
- The file format will begin uploading.

Once the import is complete, you will receive a confirmation message at the top right corner confirming the import was successful or if an error occurred.
Note: New users successfully imported will receive an email notifying them that “An account has been created for you in USA Performance, but no action is required at this time. Once you're instructed to do so, you can view your account by navigating to https://usaperformance.opm.gov/Login.aspx.” Conversely, ‘Updated’ users successfully imported will not receive update email notifications.
Error Files
If the file format is unaccepted, an Import Processed error confirmation message will appear and will display the error files at the bottom. Click the error file to open. Make any necessary corrections and attempt the data import again. The error files will appear on the screen and be available in the system for 5 days.
Note: Any detected errors in any of the import fields will cause the entire import file to fail. Administrators must correct the invalid fields prior to importing again.
